Amy Clemans obtained her Masters degree in Acupuncture from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is Arizona State Board licensed and nationally certified. Amy also has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona and is a licensed HeartMath® provider.
Amy is a native Tucsonan and although she has always called the beautiful Sonoran Desert her home, she has been fortunate to travel all over the world. Her love of world cultures lends itself to the recognition of each patient as an individual with unique needs.
At an early age, Amy fell in love with dance and began her ballet training when she was three years old eventually earning her BFA in dance from the University of Arizona’s prestigious dance program. It was during her studies of anatomy and physiology, biomechanics and kinesiology that lead her to her first career as a Pilates instructor. During her time in dance and Pilates, Amy utilized chiropractic care, massage, and acupuncture to not only treat musculo-skeletal injuries to her back and knees, but also as a way to stay healthy.
Amy’s family are all western medical practitioners who have always had an interest in alternative medicine. Due to this lifelong influence as well as to the results of her own experience being treated with acupuncture, Amy decided to take her love of working with people to a new level and pursue a career in the healing arts.
Amy specializes in working with patients suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia as well as a range of digestive disorders.
“Acupuncture can be an effective modality for health and healing. My aim is to provide safe and effective acupuncture treatment to people from all walks of life.”
